GoldBox Operation: MIRROR - UPDATE 

 

ADDING / REFRESHING records in non-GoldMine systems is possible with a GoldBox operation - in an automated fashion.  Originally, GoldBox was aimed at the GoldMine product exclusively.  Today, you can use GoldBox to open Views and run processing upon any accessible data on your system.  Mirror-Update is a key element of that processing. 

 

 

 

Here, we'll assume a GoldBox View generates a Result Set from the CUSTOMERS table in the Northwind database.  When the user finishes adding and modifying records, they click POST - and the above Setup writes the changes to MS-Access. 

 

As long as your outside data is accessible with a BDE native or ODBC driver - and has no security restrictions - Mirror-Update is how to manipulate it.  Special functionality also exists to handle the processing of specific GoldMine tables.  These include Opportunity Influencers and other Opportunity / Project Tabs, Email Messages in Mailbox,  Filters and more.
