Q: What is GoldBox for GoldMine ?
A: It is the world's most extensive CRM companion product, written specifically for GoldMine hosted in dBase, MSSQL or Firebird. GoldBox debuted with its first sale on April 8th, 1993. It has sold more than 25,000 copies, and has garnered 3 awards from FrontRange Solutions.
Q: Who can use GoldBox ?
A: EVERY GoldMine installation benefits from the power provided by GoldBox. It is in use at banks, universities, automobile dealerships, various businesses of any size - in short, anywhere GoldMine is implemented.
Q: What will it do for my GoldMine system ?
A: GoldBox provides the finest batch operations for data manipulation in GoldMine. Some that are found in GoldMine originated in GoldBox (such as Merge-Purge); others far exceed the counterpart in GoldMine (such as Import / Update); and still more offer capabilities not found anywhere in GoldMine (such as Org Chart Builder, Email Bounce Router, User Name Changer, Links Path Changer, etc.).
Complete automation and scripting logic is also available in GoldBox. This is ideal for timer-launched processing at night or on the weekends. More than 40 categories of batch operations can be run, and each script can run any number of events.
The interactive portion of the product is GoldBox Views, which is used for Org Chart Creation and for Expanded Usage of GoldMine Details. GoldBox Views also allows instant live viewing of linked data in outside systems. The data entry capabilities let you create screens that utilize GoldMine's data model in new ways. You can also setup data entry screens for non-GoldMine data.
Q: How do I install and purchase GoldBox ?
A: ALWAYS install the DEMO and configure it FIRST! This ensures the product operates correctly prior to your decision to purchase. As a TEST: Recommend that you run a MERGE-PURGE (found at the Setup menu) in the demo, to produce a COUNT of duped Main Contacts. Also try EXPORTING from Main Contacts, using both CONTACT1 and CONTACT2 fields in your mapping.
Purchase of the GoldBox license is directly from the Addon Store, or from a GoldBox VAR. Since the DEMO is the installer and also contains the F1 Help / Documentation, you will receive only a license from the Addon Store. Save this license file into the GoldBox Root Folder.
